Designed for attaching hanger rod to the top flange of a beam or bar joist, where the flange thickness does not exceed 3/4 in (19.05 mm). The open U design permits rod adjustment. The universal design of the 3/8 in Fig. 353 allows it to be used in an inverted position on the bottom flange of a beam as well.
